Global Approaches to Cyber Policy, Legislation and Regulation

The global cybersecurity landscape is more complex than ever. Geopolitical tensions alongside macroeconomic instability and a global cybersecurity workforce shortage of 3.4 million people are exacerbating a complex, unrelenting threat landscape that is being driven by a variety of players with an even broader away of driving factors behind their actions.

At the beginning of 2023, (ISC)² and the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI) collaborated on a research paper. The aim of this research and the paper produced is to serve as a guide to policymakers by examining different approaches to cybersecurity policy, regulation and legislation. It provides an overview of the policy priorities of five countries (the U.K., U.S., Canada, Japan, and Singapore) and the E.U.
