Member Communications Policy

Official Communications

Periodically, (ISC)²® sends electronic messages to its members. These messages, deemed and labeled 'Official Communications', convey important information regarding:

  • Member credential status such as CPE advice and resources
  • Opportunities to influence (ISC)² 's direction such as board elections and bylaws
  • Updates on initiatives we've implemented to advance the information security profession and support our members throughout their careers
  • Salary and other surveys, such as the annual (ISC)² Cybersecurity Workforce Study
  • New member benefits
  • Important relationships
  • Helpful resources

(ISC)² distinguishes these messages as Official communications as opposed to marketing or promotional messages. Because this information is directly related to a member's (ISC)² credential and membership, we do not allow members to opt out of 'Official Communication' messages.

Other Communications

We occasionally send marketing messages or messages of a promotional nature, on behalf of third parties, to members who have not opted-out of receiving such communications. To change your subscription preferences, please update your Contact Preferences under your profile on the Member Website.

Members who provide a United States mailing address will automatically receive member communications on the basis of an existing customer relationship as an (ISC)² member.

DKIM

In order to allow members to verify (ISC)² as the source of 'Official Communication Messages', DKIM is used as the means of verifying the (ISC)² domain.

DKIM adds a digital signature to messages and associates it with the (ISC)² domain name. For additional information on DKIM, please refer to their FAQ.

If you have any questions or concerns about signed emails, please contact us at Contact (ISC)² .
