Shawn brings over 25 years of experience to his current role where he is responsible for implementing the cybersecurity program inclusive of Security Engineering, Operations and Compliance teams to deliver business results. He is the co-chair of the CSA Cloud Control Matrix working group and was named one of Security Magazine’s Top Cybersecurity Leaders in 2021. Shawn serves on the board of directors for The National Technology Security Coalition, Hackers for Change and is an advisory board member for several prestigious organizations including Cybersecurity Competency Group (CSCG), RSA Conference Program Committee and the Microsoft Cybersecurity Customer Advisory board. He has spoken at several esteemed events, most notably the RSA Conference and (ISC)² Security Congress.

Jermone is a current Cyber Officer holding a commission in the United States Coast Guard, currently assigned to USCYBERCOM. Notable positions held have included that of an Information System Security Manager, Senior Cyber Security Engineer and the USCG's Incident Response/Event Detection Branch Lead. He has been recognized as an AFCEA 40 Under 40 award recipient and is actively pursuing his second master’s degree from National Defense University.

Benjamin has worked at IHS for over a decade, starting as a help desk analyst then joining the security division as an information systems security officer and later leading the incident response team before becoming the agency CISO. The IHS is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is the principal federal health care advocate and provider for American Indians and Alaska Natives. In addition to IHS, he has worked as a consultant with Deloitte supporting the cybersecurity needs of multiple federal and commercial clients. Along with his Masters of Science in Cybersecurity and Masters of Business Administration, Benjamin holds several IT security certifications.

Rajvardhan is a cybersecurity researcher passionate about making the internet a safer place. As part of the ads fraud detection team at Microsoft, his work involves analyzing network traffic and building models to filter suspect fraud like click fraud, rewards fraud and competitive fraud. His efforts have helped keep the Microsoft ads network clean from fraud and recovered millions of dollars in revenue. He is also pursuing a PhD at the University of California Davis, where his research is focused on examining the underground ecosystems of reputation manipulation via fraudulent reviews.

Chou aims to facilitate the growth of the cybersecurity ecosystem by creating value for organizations and bridging the technical gap. Before joining OneDegree Group, Chou was Citibank's technology risk and control officer and business information security officer. He is the decision maker on all cybersecurity affairs and has led several cybersecurity projects for corporate and retail banking in Taiwan. Prior to this experience, Chou had seven years of cybersecurity consulting experience at Deloitte and served conglomerate clients.

Shakthi is an acclaimed and accomplished technologist and security professional with over a decade of global experience in driving transformations in the BFSI sector and managing risk end-to-end with a broad customer perspective. In her current role, she oversees and drives the security and IT roadmap for the organization to provide secure customer experience, while ensuring regulatory compliance in the countries the business operates in. She holds a fully sponsored Honours degree in Computer Science and is pursuing a Masters in Information Systems (Digital Transformation and Innovation). She is an unequivocal proponent of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity who leads by example to challenge bias and promote good.

Systems Security Engineering Manager, ASELSAN Inc.

Ali began his professional career at ASELSAN after graduating from Hacettepe University Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1996. He has held positions as Network and System Administrator, Network Design Engineer and Network and Security IT Systems Engineer. Since 2005, he has been working in cybersecurity and pioneered the Systems Security Engineering department. The department ideology is to establish a foundation that enables designing systems on three security pillars: secure by design, secure by default and secure by deployment. He is also an active member of Turkish Cyber Security Cluster. He actively presents seminars and delivers speeches at national and international conferences and universities to build a security culture.

Head of Cyber Security, UAE Government

Mohamed currently holds the position of the Managing Director of the National Data Centre under the Supreme Council for National Security. He is also a working Assistant Professor (Adjunct) of Homeland Security Program at Rabdan Academy. In his current role, he aims to create a fully governed approach to data privacy, sharing and processing as well as the unification and connectivity of government systems and digitization towards a smart government. Working alongside the UAE's digital transformation agenda, he put together an implementation plan to protect the UAE cyberspace through emerging technologies such as Cloud, Big Data and AI. Mohamed serves on many esteemed boards and has presented as the keynote speaker for more than 50 international, regional and national cybersecurity events.

She has 7 years of experience in cybersecurity and fraud strategy and cyber risk quantification methodology design, mostly working with global banking clients and other large financial institutions across EMEA and the Americas to rethink and transform their capabilities in, and approach to, non-financial risk management. Lucy is an experienced public speaker and writer on a variety of cybersecurity and technology-related topics.

Andrew holds over 22 years of experience in the banking, financial services, startups and healthcare industries. He has also served on the executive boards for international conferences and advised government agencies on information security subjects.

Sarah is a fifth generation Mississippian who entered academia in 2011 following a 19-year industry career with a passion to broaden participation in computing and cybersecurity. For a decade she has offered cybersecurity summer camps and other K-12 informal learning programs. With a goal of providing equitable access to cybersecurity skills development, she leads training programs throughout her state that enable an alternative pathway to higher wage jobs. Sarah holds a Bachelors in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems and a Masters and Ph.D. in Computer Science.

The chapter took a creative approach to overcome the challenge of the pandemic and quickly adapted to virtual connection with monthly meetings as well as larger joint conferences with other organizations. The chapter supported members and cybersecurity professionals by holding resume and personal branding/development workshops, certification bootcamps, mentorship programs and partnering with multiple levels of schools including high school, college and graduate. The efforts across the select chapter focus areas of connect, educate, inspire and secure have had a global reach and impact.

LATIN AMERICA

(ISC)² Mexico City Chapter

One of the newest chapters, launching at the beginning of the pandemic, overcame adversity at every turn. The chapter held multiple virtual educational member meetings, partnered with universities to help prepare students for a career in cybersecurity and developed a partnership with schools, the National Guard and police departments to raise cybersecurity awareness for parents and kids.

(ISC)² Colombo, Sri Lanka Chapter

The chapter hosted a series of panel discussions and conferences with multiple organizations to connect with the community to foster education, raise awareness and support diversity and inclusion. The chapter was a partner for the 14th Annual National Conference on Cyber Security where the Chapter President moderated the panel discussion on "COVID 19 Triggered Shift to Digital". The chapter also offers mentorship programs and workshops for students which encourages them to pursue a career in cybersecurity by hosting multiple workshops.

The chapter focused on connection by launching a newsletter and utilized social media to cultivate their membership. They implemented several creative ways to earn or win CPEs to reward chapter members and increase engagement. They held CISSP trainings, Safe and Secure Online presentations and created cybersecurity awareness videos for parents and kids in collaboration with other organizations which are available to the public. The chapter received the Bronze award for “Public Cybersecurity Awareness” at Greek Cybersecurity Awards 2022.
